Efficiency
Manual pressure from the operator is transmitted to the piston rod through a calibrated spring using compression. Contact force is therefore limited to 600 grams, regardless of the pressure exerted by the operator. Contact force remains steady: 25grams/cm2 all over the agar collection surface.
Safety
A special device is set on the piston rod’s free end to cut electricity off while adjusting the Petri dish.
